Calling all marchers! Bray’s St Patrick’s Day Parade organisers are looking for you
Organisers of the Bray St Patrick’s Festival and Parade are appealing for marchers and volunteers for this year’s festivities.
The parade has become one of the largest and most attended St Patrick’s festivals across the country and on Tuesday, March 17, the parade will explode onto the streets of Bray, celebrating the many cultures, communities and organisations of the area.
“We are urging all the community groups to participate in the parade and help make it a success, creating a real sense of pride in Bray and a great display to welcome the thousands of visitors to our town,” a spokesperson for Bray and District Chamber of Commerce told WicklowNow.ie.
“So, let’s make the Bray Parade the most memorable yet.”
During the last three years more than 100k visitors have come to Bray to enjoy the colourful display and the community spirit that the town has to offer.
The St Patrick’s Festival Bray committee is appealing to groups to participate in this year’s parade and in doing so provide a colourful display for the thousands of spectators.
As the volunteer groups are busy preparing the last few touches for the upcoming parade the Chamber is inviting Arts, Youth, Sporting and Community Groups across the area to help out and participate in the celebrations.
There are several different categories of awards, the winners of which will be selected by the judges on the viewing stand.
An application form is available at bray.ie and the deadline for completion is February 14.
