Wicklow County Council agree to alter plans at landmark La Touche Hotel development
The developers of the La Touche Hotel have been granted permission for their plans to replace five proposed four-bedroom homes with 10 apartments on the landmark site in Greystones
The iconic La Touche Hotel on Marine Terrace in the county Wicklow seaside town is undergoing a full revamp which, under the initial plans, would have seen 26 new homes created, 23 four-bedroom homes and three three-bedroom homes.
The developers, Crimson Lane Limited, went back to Wicklow County Council earlier this year, seeking permission to remove five of the four-bedroom homes from the initial plans and replace them with 10 apartments in a construction that would retain the remaining external walls of the old hotel.
The approved plans will now see the construction of four two-bedroom apartments and six three-bedroom apartments in the idyllic location with uninterrupted views of Greystones harbour in the place of the originally agreed five houses.
The new agreed development will consist of 21 homes and ten apartments.
As part of the granted permission, the developers can also reallocate the permitted 57 parking spaces within the former hotel site.
