Bray goalkeeping star Darren returns to Premiership side West Ham in €4.7m deal
Bray man Darren Randolph has signed for Premiership side West Ham in a €4.7 million deal.
The international goalkeeper, who began his career with local side Ardmore Rovers and has amassed 34 caps for the Republic if Ireland, returns to the London club from Championship side Middlesborough.
The deal was confirmed yesterday after the netminder, who attended school in Presentation College Bray, passed further medical checks on a thigh injury that threatened to scupper the move.
The 32-year-old has not played a competitive match since November 24. However, West Ham were desperate to bring in cover for the injured Lukasz Fabianski and Darren is expected to be available to face Everton at the London Stadium on Sunday.
