BREAKING: Cliff Walk closed amid fears over spread of Covid-19
The Cliff Walk has been closed until further notice amid heightened fears over the spread of Covid-19.
The move comes after huge crowds of people descended on popular Wicklow beauty spots yesterday despite warnings about the need to maintain social distancing.
In a statement, Wicklow County Council said it was closing the Cliff Walk linking Bray and Greystones, which was recently named Ireland’s ‘Favourite Local Attraction’, due to “social distancing concerns”.
It added: “Wicklow County Council regrets taking this decision and urges the public to observe the HSE social distancing guidelines.”
