BREAKING: Covid-19 cluster emerges in county Wicklow direct provision centre

A new cluster of Covid-19 has been identified at a local direct provision centre in the Esplanade Hotel in Bray.

In a letter to asylum seekers – seen by WicklowNow.ie – the HSE said all residents will now be tested and advises them to restrict their movements as much as possible.

The HSE letter adds: “This means you should not go shopping, do not use public transport and do not go to any crowded settings.”

More details to come.

  1. Really HSE! If you suspected a Covid positive in a hotel with few resident, lockdown or restrict them not to go out until they are sure the result of testing, so they are allowed to go for a walk, go out in the hotel and meet atleast one person on the street, best advice, the first thing you do is to make them understand the hygiene and how this virus will be transmitted, you need only one stupid person to spread to other 1000 people, seriously HSE!
