BREAKING: Man (40s) stabbed to death at house in county Wexford
A man has died after he was repeatedly stabbed at a house in neighbouring county Wexford in the early hours of this morning.
The fatal attack occurred at a residence in Enniscorthy at around 12.30am.
A number of Garda units attended the scene, where they discovered a man in his early 40s with apparent stab wounds.
Attempts were made to revive him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another man in his early 40s was arrested a short distance away. He is currently detained at Wexford Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
The scene is currently preserved pending a full technical examination. The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified and a post mortem examination will take place later today.
