Cash Island! Laura Whitmore’s media firm tops €1m profits

Bray’s Laura Whitmore has racked up profits of more then €1m at her media company as the presenter’s TV career goes from strength-to-strength.

The latest set of accounts for Yer Wan Ltd show accumulated profits rose from £700,164 to £865,525 (€1.01m) in the 12 months to the end of March this year, while the company’s cash pile increased from £324,545 to £519,475.

And now she’s all set for another bumper year after it was announced that the Wicklow native is to present the sixth season of ‘Love Island’ in January after host Caroline Flack’s (above with Laura) withdrawal from the upcoming show in South Africa.

Earlier this week, Laura took to social media to say she was still “a little bit in disbelief and shock” after getting the gig.

“I also got a little glimpse of how big ‘Love Island’ is as a show when there was photographers outside my house this morning,” she said.
