Firm behind ambitious Bray development looks to raise the roof on building plans

The company behind an ambitious commercial development in a county Wicklow town have gone back to local authority seeking to add an extra floor on top of an existing building

Cosgrave Property Group are seeking permission to add a 426mt sq storey atop the three-story over basement commercial building called La Vallee House at Upper Dargle Road, Bray. The extra floor would bring the building’s total floor space to over 2,000mt sq.

The La Vallee House project has been ongoing since the turn of the millennium and consists of commercial and residential buildings.

As part of the plans, a total of 17 cycle spaces are proposed at surface level while car parking will remain unaffected as it is provided by the existing surface and basement car parking.

Access to the development is provided by the existing local access road at the ‘La Vallee’ development.

Wicklow County Council are currently accepting submissions from the public.

A decision on the revised plans is due in early June.
