Gardai launch investigation as 17 dogs are removed from county Wicklow premises
Gardai have launched an investigation after 17 dogs were removed from a county Wicklow premises and put into care.
The animals were removed from the premises following a joint operation involving local gardai and members of the ISPCA.
Gardai said they are satisfied none of the dogs were stolen.
A local Garda spokesperson added: “Sgt Roisín Daly with Gardaí from Wicklow, Avoca and Arklow and with the assistance of Chief Inspector Conor Dowling and his team from the ISPCA carried out an inspection in the District this week as a result of which 17 dogs were taken from a premises into care.
“A full investigation is under way. A great result for interagency cooperation.”
