Go-ahead for 45 home development on stunning site in county Wicklow town

Plans to develop 45 new homes overlooking some of county’s most stunning scenery has been given the go-ahead by the local authority.
Wicklow County Council has approved plans from Blessington Rectory SPV Ltd, a company owned by a developer brothers Gerald and Sean McCreevy, to build 33 houses and 12 apartments close to Blessington town centre, overlooking the town’s lakes.
The new homes will be built on a two-hectare site known locally as The Rectory located on the Kilbride Road. The prime site, which had an asking price of €1.5 million, is located just behind Blessington’s Main Street in Blessington.
The Rectory House, built in 1870, is a protected structure and as part of the development will be maintained and used as a residential house.
