A special meeting of Wicklow County Council is scheduled for Tuesday, February 25 at 16.00pm in County Buildings when Ms Neary’s co-option will be confirmed along with the replacement for the Green Party’s Steve Matthews, who was also elected to the Dail.

Ms Neary was born and raised in Greystones and lives in the area with her husband and five-year-old twin girls who attend Greystones Educate Together.
Ms Neary has worked with Ms Whitmore on her local election and most recently as Press Manager on her general election campaign while also engaging in ground work campaigning.
Previously, she was a Parliamentary Assistant/Adviser and Party Administrator in Leinster House for past eight years.
“I’m delighted to have been nominated by the Wicklow Social Democrats’ branch to take Jennifer’s seat on the Council,” Ms Neary said.
“Jennifer has done tremendous work for Greystones, Delgany, Kilcoole and Newcastle and has done so much for local communities. I hope to continue that work alongside Jennifer and the fantastic team we have in the Social Democrats.”
