Lovely hurling: Kilcoole GAA launch shopping service for those stranded during restrictions

Kilcoole GAA Club in association with the local Centra have launched a shopping service for vulnerable people who are stranded during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Between them they have teamed up to create what they are calling the ‘Covid-19 Community Response Group’ and anyone who would like to avail of the service can contact Eamonn on 087 2565571 or Declan on 087 8276912.

“We have a network of volunteer members in our GAA Club who are ready and willing to provide assistance during the Covid-19 virus restrictions,”  a spokesperson told WicklowNow.ie

“Call or text the community response group number above and we will arrange for one of our volunteers to get in touch directly.

“We are here to assist through in our community who are self-isolating to get their essentials.

“Our members will not enter your home and will practice social distancing as advised by the HSE.

“Your engagement will be kept confidential and we will not be retaining any personal information.”

The club has added that any calls before 11am will get their delivery the same day.
