Man and woman (60s) rushed to hospital after shooting incident in Waterford
A man and a woman were rushed to hospital this evening after a shooting incident at a house in county Waterford.
A Garda spokesperson told WicklowNow.ie officers and emergency services arrived at a house in the Ballyduff area at around 5pm.
Two people, a man and a woman both in their 60s, were found with gunshot wounds and were taken to University Hospital Waterford (UHW). However, their injuries are not life threatening.
A statement released by the Garda Press Office tonight said: “Gardaí attended an incident that occurred at approximately 5pm in a house at Ballyduff near Lismore, Co Waterford today, Monday 1st June, involving a legally held firearm.
“A male and a female (both in their 60s) injured in the incident were taken to local hospitals with nonlife threatening injuries. No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.”
