New restaurant, café and retail offering planned for busy county Wicklow garage

A fuel and forecourt giant is looking has plans for an ambitious new expansion at one of the most prominent roadside locations in Wicklow.

Ard Services Limited, acting on behalf of Hill’s Circle K Service Station, has applied to Wicklow County Council for permission to utterly transform the filling station at Killarney Road roundabout at Brennanstown near Bray.

The overhaul would see the existing Hill’s car sales showroom flattened to make way for a much larger retail area, restaurant and café area, forecourt and parking in its place. However, the owners have stressed that car sales at Hill’s will remain unaffected by the proposed changes.

A spokesperson for Hill’s told WicklowNow.ie: “We will be continuing business as usual on site in our large showroom adjacent to the Killarney Road. Only the small showroom on the Ballywaltrim Lane side of the site would be demolished.”

As part of the plans to redevelop the site at Junction 7, the Bray exit of the N11/M11,  extra customer seating would be created, new customer toilets provided, and the provision of new offices and a new staff area.

A decision on the new filling station and forecourt development is expected on July 18. Submissions from the public will be accepted up until June 27.
