Old phone boxes to make way for digital ad displays in Bray

Ireland’s former phone and communications has been given the green light to place digital advertising displays around a county Wicklow town in the place of existing phone kiosks.

Eircom Limited received planning permission from Wicklow County Council to remove telephone kiosks from two locations in Bray and replace them with an integrated phone and advertising unit.

The units can now be erected on Vevay Road and at the junction of St Kevin’s Square and Main Street.

Eircom Ltd are still awaiting a decision on whether they can erect another unit on Quinsborough Road.
