Plans to transform centre of Kilcoole village gets the green light
Kilcoole village is set to be transformed after Wicklow County Council approved the plans for a new town centre.
The development at Brooke House on Main Street, Kilcoole will see the existing building demolished and replaced by a mixed-use development consisting of offices, apartments and a medical centre.
The new Brooke House will see the construction of new three-storey building comprising of two ground floor office units and a ground floor medical centre.
The development will see 16 apartments built, consisting of eight one-bed and eight two-bed apartments.
There will be 20 car spaces provided, as well as bin stores, bicycle stores and community facilities. As part of the plans, the developer, John Kane, will create a number of landscaped civic spaces as well as a new pedestrian link with Monteith Estate Road and the Main Street.
