Purse taken as woman mugged in broad daylight on Bray’s Herbert Road

A woman had her purse taken after she was mugged on Bray’s Herbert Road on Saturday evening.

The incident took place not far from the junction with King Edward Road, a prosperous residential area of the town, at approximately 7.20pm.

Gardai carried out a number of house-to-house inquiries following the incident and locals in the area reported seeing a suspicious male hanging about earlier in the day.

“Gardaí in Bray are investigating a theft that occurred on 16th May 2020 at approximately 7.20pm on the Herbert Road,” a statement from the Garda Press office released to WicklowNow.ie said.

“During the incident, a purse was stolen. No injuries have been reported. Investigation ongoing.”
