Raise the roof: Council approves plans to significantly expand premises in Bray

An ambitious plan to add an extra floor to a commercial premises in Bray has been given the go-ahead by the local authority.

The Cosgrave Property Group have been granted permission by Wicklow County Council to add a 426mt sq storey atop the three-story over basement commercial building called La Vallee House on the Upper Dargle Road.

With the addition of the extra storey, the total floor space of the building will be brought up to 2,066mt sq -more than 22,000 sq feet. The additional floor will be used as a commercial space.

The La Vallee House project has been ongoing since the turn of the millennium and consists of a number of commercial and residential buildings.

As part of the plans, a total of 17 cycle spaces are proposed at surface level while car parking will remain unaffected as it is provided by the existing surface and basement car parking.

Access to the development is provided by the existing local access road at the ‘La Vallee’ development off Junction 6 on the N11/M11.
