REST IN PEACE: Wicklow Death Notices

Freda BYRNE (née Tracey)
Bray

The death has occurred (suddenly) of Freda Byrne (née Tracey) Aravon Court, Bray, Co. Wicklow. Beloved wife of Stephen, sadly missed by her sisters Mamie Nesbitt and Renee Donnelly, brother Freddie Tracey (California), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

In line with HSE and government advice, the Service of Remembrance for Freda at 2 o’clock on Friday, 3 July 2020, in The Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Cemetery will be private. At a later date another service will be arranged.

Desmond (Des) HOWE
Enniskerry, Wicklow/Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Desmond (Des) Howe – late of Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin died on 1st July, 2020, peacefully, in the exceptional care of the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harolds Cross, beloved husband of Theresa, dearly loved Dad of Des Jnr., Lisa and Susan, adored Grandad of Emily, Adam, Evan, Ciara, Matthew, Daniel, Amelie, Senan, Cillian and Lewis; fondly remembered by his sons-in-law Paul and Ed, daughter-in-law Andrea, brothers Paddy, Jim, John and Peter, brother-in-law Paddy O’Connor, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A private Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, 4th July, at 10.15am in St. Mary’s Church, Enniskerry which may be viewed by clicking here. This will be followed by burial in Curtlestown Cemetery at approx. 11.15am. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired to Our Lady’s Hospice, may be made online at olh.ie. Breda KELLY (née O’Neill)
Sandyhills, Dunlavin

Kelly (née O’Neill) Breda, Sandyhills, Dunlavin, Co. Wicklow. 2nd July 2020. Wife of Joe and loving mother of Kathleen, Marie, Clair, Suzanne, Sinead and James. Will be dearly missed by her family, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchild, brother James, sisters Alice, Roseleen and Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at her home on Friday from 1.00 p. m. to 8.00 p.m. Removal Saturday morning (house private) to St. Kevin’s Church, Hollywood arriving for 11.00 a.m. Funeral Mass followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Deirdre Babs MANAHAN (née Ross)
Delgany

MANAHAN Deirdre Babs (née Ross) of Delgany, Co. Wicklow, widow of Aidan, died peacefully at home on 1st July 2020, aged 90 years. She will be very sadly missed by her loving family and friends. The family thanks the care professionals who provided so much support to Deirdre in recent years.

A Requiem Mass will be officiated by Fr. Gerard Tyrrell at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Greystones, on Friday, 3rd July at 1 o’clock. The service will be private, in accordance with the Government’s guidelines on public gatherings. The service may be viewed through the parish’s web camera at https://www.greystonesparish.ie/webcam.

John Stephens, Ballybawn Cottages, Kilmacanogue, Co. Wicklow. July 1st. 2020. Peacefully in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Beloved son of the late Catherine and John. Will be sadly missed by his sister Sadie, nieces Pamela, Daphne, Sonia, nephew Sean, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Thomas Murphy and Sons Funeral Home, Boghall Road, Bray on Friday evening, July 3rd, from 5pm to 6pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12 noon in St. Mochonog’s Church, Kilmacanogue followed by interment in adjoining cemetery.
