REST IN PEACE: Wicklow Death Notices

Lawlor, (née Dunbar) Fernhill, Arklow and formerly of Connolly Street, Arklow, Co. Wicklow 20th July 2020, peacefully in the excellent care of Andrea and her wonderful staff at Asgard Lodge Nursing Home. May, beloved wife of the late Paddy, dearly loved mother of Sheila. She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter, son-in-law Pat, brothers, sisters, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, friends and neighbours.

We appreciate all the love and support from our family and friends. As we are legally bound, to follow the guidelines set out for us by government, it is necessary for our beloved May to have a private funeral. If you wish you can join in the celebration of May’s reception prayers at 7pm on Tuesday evening and her funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 10am, via http://www.arklowparish.ie/webcam/

Burial immediately afterwards in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, arriving at 11am (Driving all the way).

Maureen O’CONNOR (née Higgins)
Rathcrogue, Carlow/Dunlavin, Wicklow

Maureen O’Connor (née Higgins), of “St Anne’s”, Rathcrogue, Co Carlow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on July 19th, 2020, at The District Hospital, Carlow.

Beloved wife of the late Martin, much loved mother of Michelle and Declan and adored Nana of Conor, Marty, Hannah, Therese and Dessie.

She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter, son, grandchildren, brother Jim (Dunlavin), sisters Dinah Bradley (Baltinglass) and Greta Langan (Ballycastle, Co. Mayo), sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings, a private funeral will take place for family in St Joseph’s Church, Tinryland, on Tuesday at 2pm and will be followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Wesley SALTER 
Cabra, Dublin/Glen of Aherlow, Tipperary/Tinahely, Wicklow

Wesley passed away suddenly and tragically on Sunday, 19th July 2020. Predeceased by his mother Yvonne. He will be deeply missed by his Dad Graeme, brothers Barry and Finn, Maggie and Culann, Granny and Grandad, aunts and uncles, cousins and his many friends.

Due to Covid-19 Restrictions and adhering to government guidelines, a private ceremony for Wesley will be confined to family members only. A memorial service will be held at a future date. Please direct donations to the McVerry Trust (https://pmvtrust.ie/donate/) in lieu of flowers.

Mary (May) STAPLETON (née Lawless)
Monkstown, Dublin/Bray, Wicklow

STAPLETON (née Lawless) (Dunedin Terrace, Monkstown, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin and formerly of Castle Street, Bray, Co. Wicklow) – July 19th 2020 (peacefully) after a short illness in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Elm Park. Mary (May); dearly beloved wife of the late Michael (Mike) and loving mother of the late Angela and Noel. She will be very sadly missed by her loving grandchildren Michael, Rachel, Brian, Siobhan and Hazel, great-grandchildren Darragh, Cian, Naoise, Lauren, Sophie and Jason, son-in-law, sisters, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace. A special word of thanks to all the staff at the Atlanta Nursing Home, Sidmonton Road, Bray for all the care they showed to Mary.

Reposing at Patrick O’Donovan & Son Funeral Home, Sallynoggin (Opp Sallynoggin Church) on Wednesday from 4pm until 6pm. Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of the Holy Family, Kill-o’-the-Grange arriving at10.45am. Funeral immediately after 11am Requiem Mass to Shanganagh Cemetery, Shankill.

In accordance with Government guidelines on public gatherings, Mary’s Requiem Mass Service will be strictly limited to 50 persons. To live stream the church go to www.holyfamilyparish.ie.
