REST IN PEACE: Wicklow Death Notices

Catherine (Cathy) LENNON (née Reynolds)
Bray, Wicklow 

Catherine (Cathy) Lennon (née Reynolds), of Bray, Co. Wicklow, died peacefully at home, aged 53 years, on Thursday 20th August, 2020, after a battle borne with great courage and humility, in the company of and surrounded by her loving husband Ian, daughters Jessica and Ruth and her adored sister Sinéad. Beloved eldest daughter of Joan and Esmonde Reynolds. Cathy will be fondly remembered, admired and greatly missed by her husband, daughters, mother, father, sister, brother, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and her large circle of friends.

The family wish to express their gratitude to Dr Janice Walsh and her oncology team and the nurses and staff at St. Anne’s Ward and Day Care Centre, St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, Dr Eoin Spillane at the Carlton Clinic, Bray, the staff at Cunningham’s Pharmacy, Bray and the Wicklow Palliative Care Team.

A private family funeral will take place on Monday, 24th August, 2020, in Bray. You may send messages of sympathy and support or share a memory of Cathy in the “Condolences” section here. Donations in memory of Cathy may be forwarded to House Private.

Greystones, Wicklow / Monkstown, Dublin 

In loving memory of Gordon (Gary) Nother of Greystones, Co. Wicklow & formerly Monkstown, Dublin, who passed away peacefully on 19th August 2020, after a long illness. Predeceased by his parents, William and Eileen and his sister Marie. Will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 60 years Maura, his sons Gordon and Paul, daughters Pamela, Grainne and Roisin, his sons and daughters in law Sarah, Eve, Peter, Michael and Sean, his 21 lovely grandchildren and his sister Pat and brother Billy, sister-in-law Margaret. extended family, relatives and friends.

Due to the current HSE guidelines Gary’s Funeral will be private for family only. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers at this time. Please join the family on the parish webcam on for Gary’s Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 1.00 pm in the Holy Rosary Church, Greystones, followed by interment in Redford Cemetery. Family flowers only.

O’Brien, Fr Michael SPS (Glasthule, Co Dublin, St Patrick’s Missionary Society, Kiltegan, Co Wicklow and formerly of Killyon, Co Offaly, Dioceses of Kitui and Nakuru (Kenya) and Malakal (Republic of South Sudan), August 19, 2020, in the excellent care of the staff of the Cara Ward of St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by his sister Mary (Fanning), by his brother Denis, by his sisters-in-law Nuala and Kathleen and by his brother-in-law Aengus Fanning; sadly missed by his twin sister Terry (Quinn), by his brothers Jimmy, Francis, Dermot and Joe, by his sisters-in-law Anne and Marie, by his brother-in-law Bob (Quinn), by his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, his relatives and friends and by his Society family.

Due to Government restrictions the Funeral will be private. Funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Chapel, Kiltegan, on Saturday, August 22, at 12 noon followed by burial in the Society Cemetery. The Mass will be live-streamed on and on the Society’s Facebook Page.
