REST IN PEACE: Wicklow Death Notices

Kathleen Monica ARCARI (née Prendergast)
Bray, Wicklow/Ardfinnan, Tipperary

Kathleen Monica Arcari, 82, of South Boston, MA, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2020. Monica was born June 27, 1938, in Ardfinnan, County Tipperary, to John and Kathleen Prendergast.

She moved to Dublin in her early 20’s, where she trained at Jervis street hospital and became a registered nurse. Monica was married to Bruno Arcari. Throughout their 20-year marriage, they lived in Bray, County Wicklow, where they owned and operated a nursing home and made life-long friendships.

Monica lived a full, active life surrounded by people that loved her. During the 18 years she lived in South Boston, many would see her walking her beloved Snowey or enjoying dinners out with friends and family. She enjoyed going to the gym, The Ollie and traveling back to Ireland for holidays and to see her many close friends, especially the Foxes.

Monica is survived by her three children, Mario of New York, NY; Joey of Brookline, MA; and Nicola of New York, NY; 5 grandchildren, Kianna, Mario Jr. Giovanni, Joey and Annabelle; and her cat Molly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her eldest daughter Grace, next to whom she will be buried to in Shanganagh Cemetery, Shankill, County Dublin.

A private Funeral Mass for family and close friends will take place on Monday, 31st August, at 11.30am in the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Putland Road, Bray and this may be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/brayqueenofpeace. The burial will take place in Shanganagh Cemetery at 1.00pm approx. Messages of sympathy and support may be placed in the “Condolences” section here.

Liam DEVLIN
Bray

Liam Devlin of Oldcourt, Bray, passed away peacefully, at home, on Friday 21st August 2020. Much loved husband of Anne, devoted and hardworking Dad to his loving children Paul, Garry, Sandra, Mark, Lisa and the late baby David. Sadly missed by his daughters-in-law Christine and Laura, son-in-law Richard, his treasured grandchildren Vickie, Azara and Jordon, Holly, Nicola, Reece and Kimberley, Nicole, Codie and Chad, Dean and Chelsea, Nadia and Jersey, his 11 great-grandchildren, brothers Noel and Ger, sister Annie and by his extended family and friends.

Liam’s family invite you to join them on his journey to the church on Wednesday morning, 26th August, as they walk from his home at 10.35am. A private funeral Mass will follow at 11.00am in St. Fergal’s Church, Ballywaltrim, after which you may once again join them as they walk to Springfield Cemetery, Killarney Road, Bray for the burial.

Suddenly at St. Vincent’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Michael, adored mother of Sarah, Mary, Peter, Helen, Liz, Noeleen, Teresa, Mick, Joe & Angela & much loved sister of Joe, Jimmy & the late John, Helen & Peter. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken husband, sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her cherished grandchildren, especially her little Angel Jack, her great-grandchildren, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours & dear lifelong friends.

In accordance with government guidelines, Betty’s funeral will take place privately. If you wish you can join in the celebration of her funeral Mass at 10 o’clock on Wednesday morning via the Arklow Parish Webcam. She will be laid to rest afterwards in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery.

Peacefully, in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin. Beloved daughter of the late Patrick (Tunny) and Nancy. She will be sadly missed by her brothers Johnny, Martin,Paddy and Joey, sisters Essie and Mary, sisters-in-law Betty and Sandra, Essie’s partner Paudie, Mary’s partner John, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Due to current restrictions, Ann’s Funeral Mass will be private for family only in St. Joseph’s Church, Newtownmountkennedy on Wednesday at 11am. Burial will take place afterwards in Kilmurray Cemetery.

Michael (Mick) Kavanagh, Carrigeen, Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow, August 24th 2020. Peacefully in the tender care of the staff at Naas Hospital. Loving husband of the late Nan, he is deeply mourned by his sons James and John, daughters Helen, Mary, Elizabeth and Theresa, his sister-in-law Mary Whitty, grandchildren Michael, Jonathan, Mark, Thomas, Shane Julianne, James, Catherine, Victoria, Charlene, Tanya, Samantha, Nicole, Ciara and Damien, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Mass for Michael shall take place in St Joseph’s Church, Baltinglass, on Wednesday at 12 noon followed by burial in Moone Cemetery, Co. Kildare. Beloved husband of Martina and father of Matthew. Cherished husband of Gráinne, adored father of Jamie, T.J., Leah & Ella, son of the late Paddy & Norah (Patty) & much loved brother of Val, Bernie, Noreen, Bridget, Yvonne, Mary, Sam, Pat, Anto, David, Mark, Nicky & the late Noel & Joan.
