REST IN PEACE: Wicklow Death Notices

Mary Brennan (née Murphy)
Lacken, Blessington, Wicklow

Brennan (Née Murphy) Mary, Faughart, Lacken, Blessington, Co. Wicklow. Passed away on Sunday 8th December 2019 under the gentle care of the wonderful staff of the Beacon Hospital. She will remain always in the hearts of her children Patrick, Martha, Mary, and Sean, as her beloved daughter Katie and husband John remained in hers. She will be sadly missed by all her wider family, her grandchildren, her sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, her sisters and brothers and their families and her many friends.

May Mary Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Clarke’s Funeral Home, Burgage More, Blessington W91YN79, on Tuesday 10th from 4.0’c to 7.0’c. Removal on Wednesday morning to the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Lacken arriving for 11.0’c Funeral Mass followed by burial in Templeboden Cemetery.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam.

For the sake of Sean, Mammy’s wish was that the house remain private.

Slattery Edward (Ned) Carrig Glen, Blessington, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, 7th December 2019. Husband of Monica and father of Catherine, Eamon and Bernard. Will be dearly missed by his family, son in law Jon, daughter in law Pam, grandchildren Katie, Amy, Aoife and Macy, brothers Pat and Tom, sisters Anne and Margaret, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of Our Lady, Blessington, arriving for 11.30am Funeral Mass, followed by cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium. No flowers, please. Donations, if desired, to Peamount Health Care. Donation box at the funeral and the church.


Greystones, Wicklow / Hospital, Limerick

Denis O’Grady, late of Greystones, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Hospital, Co. Limerick, passed away peacefully on the 7th December, 2019, surrounded by his family and in the care of the staff at Greystones Nursing Home; beloved husband of the late Patricia (née Murphy), deeply regretted by his sons Gerard and David, daughter Cathy, daughter-in-law Roisin, Cathy’s fiancé Nick, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Monday (9th December) from 7.00pm – 9.00pm, with prayers at 8.00pm. Reception Prayers on Tuesday (10th December) at 3.00pm in the Church of St. John the Baptist, Hospital, Co. Limerick. Requiem Mass on Wednesday (11th December) at 11.30am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please.
