REST IN PEACE: Wicklow Death Notices

Marie Forde (née Smullen)
Wicklow Town, Wicklow

Marie Forde née Smullen of Dunbur Close, Wicklow Town who passed away suddenly at her home on February 4th 2020. Predeceased by her parents Jimmy and Lil Smullen. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Frank, son Frank, daughter Elisha and her partner Alan, grandson Luke, brothers Sean, Gerry, Larry, Declan and Lenny, sister in law Kathleen, brother in law Jim and by her close friends Linda and John, extended family and friends.

Marie will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk in Wicklow Town from 5pm until 8pm on Friday. Removal, at walking pace, from Dunbur Close on Saturday morning at 9.30am to St Patrick’s Church, arriving for 10am funeral Mass followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery.

Brendan MEALY
Greystones, Wicklow / Walkinstown, Dublin

Brendan Mealy, late of Greystones and formerly of Walkinstown, Dublin 12, Bewleys and DIT Kevin Street, passed away peacefully on 1st February, 2020, in his 96th year, in the wonderful care of the staff at Greystones Nursing Home; beloved husband of the late Doreen, dearly loved father of Paul, Ken and the late Brenda, greatly missed by his grandchildren Ben, Vickie, Lesley-Ann, Paula, Jake, Sam and Anna, great-grandchildren Harry, Hugh, Emma and Sam; Nathaniel, Jacob and Beatrice, son-in-law Eugene, daughters-in-law Ann and Cliona, extended family and friends.

A celebration of Brendan’s life will take place on Wednesday (5th February) at 11.00am in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray, followed by cremation in Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6W. Family flowers onl,y please. Donations, if desired, to Greystones Nursing Home can be made at the service.


Dunlavin, Wicklow / Dalkey, Dublin

Pamela O’Brien, (Peacefully) in the loving care of Dunlavin Nursing Home. Much loved daughter of the late Peter and Freda. Sadly missed by her cousins, relatives, freinds and neighbours.

Arriving at St Nicholas of Myra Church, Dunlavin on Thursday, 6th Feb., for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Corban’s Cemetery, Naas, Co. Kildare.
