REST IN PEACE: Wicklow Death Notices

Seamus (Shay) CONNOLLY
Delgany/Greystones, Wicklow/Kilmacud, Dublin

Séamus (Shay) Connolly of Delgany, Co Wicklow, and formerly of Greystones and Kilmacud, and Ex. Valuations Office, passed away suddenly on 19th May 2020, after a short illness, at St Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. Beloved father of Nicola and dear husband of the late Brenda RIP.

Shay will be remembered with love and affection by his beloved daughter Nicola, his father Séamus (James), brother John, his sisters Jessica, Joanna and Katherine. Also sadly missed by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his beloved mother Kitty and brother Roddy.

Due to Government restrictions regarding social gatherings a private funeral will take place for Shay at 2:00pm on Saturday 23rd May and this may be viewed on . A Memorial Service will be celebrated at a later date.

Formerly of Redcross. Peacefully in the tender care of the wonderful staff of Asgard Lodge Nursing Home. Wife of the late Eamon & beloved mother of Ed & Sandra. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing son, daughter, son-in-law Paudie, daughter-in-law Paula, grandchildren Patrick, Emma, Chris, Ger, Keith & Philip, great-grandchildren, brothers Joe, Jimmy & Frank, sisters Veronica & Angela, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends.

Charles (Charlie) Logan, (Arklow, Co. Wicklow and late of Belfast). 20th May 2020 at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. Beloved husband of Roisin (McKeown) and loving father of Cara and Matthew. Will be sadly missed by his mother, Etta, brother Alan, extended family and friends.

The memories mean the most to us. He will live forever in our hearts.

Jim (James) McGrath of Kilmurray Cottages, Kilmacanogue, formerly Green Park, Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow. May 20th 2020 peacefully, after a short illness, surrounded by his family, in the loving care of the staff at St Vincent’s University Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Mary (née Phillips) & brother of the late Gerard & Deirdre. Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, children Eddie (Uk), Angela (Sinnott), Debbie (Porter) & Anthony; sisters Collette, Marie & Helen, brother Brendan, daughters-in-law Bernie & Catríona, sons-in-law Glenn & Seán, grandchildren Jamie, Ciara, Matthew, Khyle, Alannah, Jonah, Alison, Shane, Conor, Darragh & Emma, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.

Due to the recent HSE guidelines regarding public gatherings, Jim will be laid to rest at St, Mochonog’s Cemetery, Kilmacanogue, privately on Saturday, May 23rd. Jim’s family will walk from his home to the cemetery leaving the house at 1.45pm. Anyone who would like to line the road from the house to the cemetery is welcome to do so in accordance with social distancing and other restrictions. Jim’s family will arrange a Memorial Mass & gathering to raise a glass to him at a later date. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to Purple House Bray.

O’Carroll, Fr William (Billy), (St Patrick’s Missionary Society, Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ogoja Diocese (Nigeria), Buchlyvie (Scotland) and Grenada (West Indies) May 20, 2020, peacefully in the Care Unit at St Patrick’s, Kiltegan. Predeceased by his sisters Pearl, Maureen, Kitty (O’Connor, (UK), Brigid (O’Grady, Ardee) and Esther (Fernane, Tralee). Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, his relatives and friends and by his Society family.

A Due to Government restrictions the Funeral Mass and Burial will be private. A recording of the Mass will be available for one week on the Society’s website as from Sunday, May 24.
