Speeding biker caught doing 121kph in 80 kph zone on Wicklow road

Gardai caught a speeding biker doing 121kph in a 80kph zone over the bank holiday as part of Operation Lifesaver.

The motorcyclist was one of a number who were found to be in breach of Covid-19.

“Gardaí in Wicklow are conducting Operation Lifesaver speed checks all weekend as part of a national operation,” a statement on Garda Siochana Wicklow said.

“Baltinglass Roads Policing Unit have detected a number of infringements involving motorbikes, one of whom was travelling at a speed of 121kph in an 80 zone.

“Fixed Charge notice issued. All offending motorcyclists were also in breach of Covid 19 guidelines. Please slow down and adhere to regulations. #arrivealive #staysafe”
