Take the challenge: Purple House looking for volunteers to mark their 30th anniversary
Purple House Cancer Support Centre are looking for supporters to help them celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2020 and fundraise for a permanent home at the same time.
The charity are asking the public to #takethechallenge of running, walking or cycling 30km in January or to organise any fundraiser around the number 30 that will help fit after Christmas!
In December, Purple House said they were “extremely disappointed” with the news that funding for their new base cannot be guaranteed.
The HSE wrote to the charity with the news despite Purple House having already identified a suitable premises for their need.
Health Minister Simon Harris has been urged not to break a promise he made to help move Bray’s Purple House Cancer Support Centre into a new home.
“We need your support to help make our vision of the creation of a permanent Community Based Cancer Support Centre of Excellence, a reality,” Purple House have said.

Members of the public can also Buy A Purple Brick for the new Centre at purplehouse.ie. Everyone who buys a brick will have their name placed in the new therapeutic garden forevermore.
