WEATHER WARNING: Wicklow included in new alert as snow and thunder forecast

Wicklow has been included in a new weather warning as snow, thunder and flooding are all forecast over the coming days.

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rainfall warning today for Wicklow, Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth , Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Clare, Tipperary, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal and all of Connacht.

Met Éireann said they they expect accumulations of up to 25mm of rain, which may lead to widespread flooding.

The latest weather warning is expected to be lifted tomorrow, but cold temperatures will prevail and the possibility of sleet and snow will remain until Wednesday.
