WICKLOW WEATHER: Better late than never – here (finally) comes the sun!
There some good news for Wicklow weather watchers as the east of the country looks set to enjoy a sunny and warm week ahead – with the mercury finally rising “above the summer average” next weekend.
Met Éireann said it’s going to be a wet start to the week today, despite temperatures rising to up to 20 degrees at times.
Tomorrow and Wednesday will be much cooler in some parts, with a mix of sunny spells and rain predicted for both days.
But things are set to hot up again on Thursday, which is set to be the warmest day of the week with temperature highs of 20 degrees forecast.
And the national forecaster said next weekend looks set to be a dry and settled one – and temperatures may well be higher than the average for this time of year.
Met Éireann said: “Current indications suggest mainly dry and settled conditions at first, with temperatures trending near average, perhaps slightly above in parts of the east and southeast.
“A transition to somewhat cooler conditions looks likely by the end of weekend, though, with some rain at times.”
