Wicklow workers have among highest disposable income in country: report
Workers in Wicklow have slightly more disposable income than most of their counterparts in the rest of the country.
And we have more cash to splash than the national average (104%) when it comes to money left in our pockets after tax.
These figures are revealed in the latest Central Statistics Office ‘County Income and Regional GDP’ report.
According to the CSO, Wicklow workers had a disposable income of €22,357 for the year 2017. This is €862 more than the national average but still a whopping €3,150 less than the disposable income an average employee in Dublin.
Wicklow is just one of five counties nationally, Dublin, Limerick, Kildare and Meath being the other, where the disposable income is above the state average of €21,495.
