Wolf pack: Wicklow brewery launches ‘contactless’ beer to allow customers to click and collect

Wicklow Wolf has come up with a unique way of allowing customers to enjoy a beer without coming into contact with anyone while buying it.

The brewery, which sells most of its product through pubs which are now closed, has seen a sharp drop in sales like many businesses following the Covid-19 outbreak but now you can pull right up to their premises in Newtownmountkennedy to collect a six-pack or two.

“We have been hit hard like many small businesses with the growing situation with COVID-19,” a statement on their website says.

“With most of our avenues to sell beer through closing overnight, we have thought long and hard about how we can best serve customers in our local area while protecting our staff and putting their safety and that of our customers first.

“We are fighting to keep our doors open for as long as possible, to keep on paying our suppliers and our staff and we will continue to fight as hard as we can.

“We have just launched Our Contactless Beer Collection whereby you can order cases of our beer on our online shop and collect from our brewery in Newtownmountkennedy, Co Wicklow, without leaving your car or coming into contact with another person.”

While it is Mother’s Day, I’m sure this is an idea that dads will be able to get behind – all while supporting local jobs!

Anyone interested can place their orders here.
