Woman (30s) in ‘critical’ condition after late night assault in county Wicklow town
A woman is being treated in hospital with serious injuries after she was violently attacked in Arklow in the early hours of this morning.
The assault took place at a property in the town at around 4.25am.
The woman, who is in her 30s, was rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin, where she remains in a “critical” condition.
Gardai say they are following “a definite line of inquiry” but no arrests have yet been made.
Local gardai have urged eyewitnesses or anyone who may have information in relation to the incident to contact Wicklow Garda Station on 0404 60140 or the Garda Confidential Helpline on 1800 666 111.
They are also appealing to road users who may have dashcam footage in the Arklow area between 4am and 5am to come forward.
